So, what's new?

Well, a lot has happend since my last update, both good and not so good.

Let's take the not so good news first (sort of, getting it out and be done with):
The place where my daughter and son-in-law and grandchild live, has eight apartments, spread over 2 floors. One apartment on the groundfloor broke out on fire!
For a while they were trapped in the apartment. They first came when a couple of firemen came and helped them out. It was a horrible experience. We are grateful that nothing happened to them. It showed us how precious and fragile life is. Also it showed us, how important it is, that we put the most important and the right things first in life.

On a happier note, Lars and I moved into our new home 2 weeks ago. We're grateful for all the help the members of the Church gave us.  They did everything regarding the move for us - yes, EVERYTHING!

We are slowly finding out where we want our things to be. Also, what things we would LIKE to keep - or things we NEED to keep, and they are not always the same thing... so, what has to go, and what do we want/need to keep? Stuf we don't want will either be given away for reuse or discarded.
We thrive in our small home, which is only half the seize of what we had before. We just do not need as much space.

Tomorrow I'm going to church for the first time in a long time - and I am looking forward to it.
My health is slowly improving, but I'm still incredibly tired.

Lesson to learn right now:
My body needs to heal, I can feel it. It is all right, I need to let my body do it's job.

How does a picture frame and Stampin Up! work together?

I had a great afternoon with my daughter and grandson. We drove to Århus, and did some shopping at IKEA.
It's the 2nd time I'm on a longer trip, since my last operation. When I came home, I sleeped for a few houres. I found out to day, that I still have to slow down, and just enjoy life - I'm not ready as of yet, to do all I want, when I want - but I'm getting there.
Have a blessed dag - Conny

How does a picture frame and Stampin Up! work together?

'
Birtday Bloom stamp set, Chocolate Chip stamp pad.

I found an idea on pinterest and I just had to try:

Use a pictureframe instead of a MISTY

It works! The picture frame is Hemmingsbo from IKEA.

Place the stamp on the lid, and ink it up.

Close the lid, and gently press the stamp & acrylic top, down on the card base.

This is what it looks like! It's so easy. The stamp clings to the lid, so now it is easy to
massproduce cards with the stamp in the same place!

A bit of everything!

This sign was over the door in the hospital room where I was - one of the many times I was in the hospital.    "On a scale from 0-10 who much pain are you in right now?" Oh, I've heard that question many times. This was the fist time I've seen a sign like that.
Maybe it will help staff and patient to understand each other better.

Now it's time for an update. There has been many things going on in our lives.

With the help of friends from church, we moved from our home, Hattemagervej. It was a strange feeling. It had been home for many years, and now it was over. For the next many weeks we wolud live at a friends apartment, until we could move into our new flat.

Usually, a move can be very stressful. There are many decisions to be taken, things must be planned, you may need to ask others for help and so om. Good friends came - took over for us. We hope they will be blessed for their great help. We know they have made sacrifices in order to be able to help us. 'We have not been able to do handle the last 1½ month without their help.

I have been hospitalized again and had surgery for the 15th time in 2 years. My body can't take anymore. It's tired. Lars is not well to. Therefore, we feel the blessings of heaven through our family and friends in a big way. All encourages us. All are there for us. We are grateful for all the prayers that are offered on our behalf.

We move into our new apartment next week. We can't wait for our "new beginning".

Some other news I can tell you are:  our son, Jimmy, moved to England. He has a job already. We wish him the best. We miss him. We wish he was with us - but it is his life, he is writing his story.
The Danish author Hans Christian Andersen once said: To travel - is to live! We look forward to follow Jimmy on his new journey.

Until next time, take care!
